Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all purchases from Smith & Jones Bible Publishers.
By placing an order, you agree to these Terms as well as our Return Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

1. Agreement to the Return Policy

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that:

  • you have reviewed our Return Policy,

  • you understand the procedures for returns, replacements, and defects, and

  • you agree to abide by those policies.

The Return Policy forms a binding part of this agreement.

2. Order Processing, Cancellations, and Changes

Due to our rapid fulfillment process:

  • Orders cannot be cancelled or modified once submitted.

  • This applies even to orders placed by mistake.

  • Customers are responsible for verifying their order details before checkout.

3. Customer Responsibility & Required Resolution Process

Customers agree to contact Smith & Jones Bible Publishers directly and allow us reasonable time to resolve any issue—including shipment concerns, defects, or damage—before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

We are committed to prompt and fair resolution of all concerns.

4. Chargebacks & Dispute Policy

Filing a chargeback before contacting us or before allowing standard resolution procedures (including carrier transit-damage claims) constitutes a violation of these Terms.

If a chargeback is initiated:

  • We will submit documentation to the card issuer demonstrating compliance with our policies.

  • If the dispute is resolved in our favor and we are in possession of the merchandise, the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost.

  • Filing an invalid or premature dispute may delay or limit available remedies.

Impatience regarding shipping claim processing time is not a valid basis for a chargeback.

5. Product Condition, Descriptions & Seconds Bibles

We make every effort to accurately describe our products. However:

  • Natural leather varies in grain, texture, and appearance.

  • Minor cosmetic differences between copies are normal and not considered defects.

Seconds, blemished, auction, or otherwise “as-is” Bibles are sold without warranty and without eligibility for return, refund, exchange, or replacement. Because these items are already sold at a discount due to cosmetic imperfections, additional minor blemishes occurring during normal shipping and handling are not considered defects and are not eligible for remedy.

6. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Payment is processed at the time of purchase.
We accept major credit and debit cards and other payment methods made available at checkout.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability is limited strictly to the purchase price of the product.

  • We are not responsible for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

This includes, but is not limited to, delays, shipping carrier errors, or product variations.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to conflict of law principles.

9. Agreement

By completing your purchase or checking the “I agree to the Terms & Conditions” box at checkout, you affirm that you:

  • have read these Terms,

  • have read the Return Policy,

  • understand all procedures, limitations, and requirements, and

  • agree to be bound by them.
